Ballyclare Colts U11s 2 Northend United U11s 0 Saturday 26th March 2011
Northend made the long trip to Greenisland for a Plate match and left rueing their missed chances. Ballyclare had a lot of possession but were restricted to shots from distance. As the game went on, Ballyclare looked more threatening and went in front when the ball was cleared out of the Northend penalty box and the Ballyclare player drilled the ball into the Northend net.
Northend should have levelled the scores when Daniel Bell was through on the keeper but his final touch let him down.
Northend were catching Ballyclare on the attack and Bell nearly got an equaliser when he stole the ball from the defender at the eighteen yard line and tried to chip the keeper but he pulled off a great save.
Then Graeme McCartney had a great chance, when he shot over the crossbar, when on a one on one with the keeper, just before half time. The half time score remained 1-0 to Ballyclare.
The second half started much the same as the first with Ballyclare having a lot of possession but Josh Mark, in United's goal, was having very little to do.
Northend were giving the ball away too easy and when Ballyclare gained possession about twenty-five yards out, their midfielder hit a hopeful ball into the eighteen yard box. As Mark went to collect the ball, it hit a divot and bounced off him to a Ballyclare player who shot first time to put the Colts 2-0 up. With no further scoring, the final score was 2-0 to Ballyclare

Northend United U11s 3 Newington U11s 0 Friday 18th March 2011
Northend welcomed Newington Youth to the Showgrounds on Friday night in a match played under floodlights. Northend started the strongest and Daniel Bell went close with a chance before Brandon Millar opened the scoring for the Blues when he smashed the ball past the helpless Newington keeper on ten minutes.
Northend continued to dominate play with Jamie Stevenson and Kuba Babuszewski linking up well in midfield and Stevenson was unlucky when a shot of his went narrowly past the post.
Newington gradually came into the game but the Northend defence of O'Loughlin, Hayburn, Stock and Dobbin dealt comfortably with whatever Newington threw at them.
Northend began to get into their fluent passing game but could not add to their one goal lead before half time.
The second half started with Newington on the offensive but again Jordan Stock and Declan Dobbin were called upon to keep Northend in the game, with some timely clearances.
As the half wore on, the Blues came more into the game with Bell and Stevenson again going close. Northend continued to dominate play in midfield but couldn't turn their superiority into goals. Northend introduced substitutes Stephen Williams and Celine Mitchell and it was Celine who immediately got into the action with some jinxing runs down the Northend left wing.
With ten minutes of the match remaining, Northend sealed the points when Matthew Kirk and Brandon Millar scored two goals to give Northend a convincing 3-0 win over Newington Youth.

Whitehead U11s 1 Northend United U11s 3 Saturday 5th March 2011
For the second week in a row Northend U11s met Whitehead at Carrickfergus and again they put in a great display of football to see off a very resilient Whitehead team. Whitehead were causing Northend some problems in the first five minutes, but as soon as Daniel Bell scored for the Blues in the seventh minute, after great work by his strike partner Jamie Stevenson, Northend then took control.
Daniel Bell added a second goal and Jordan Adams smashed a shot into the far corner of the Eagles net giving their keeper no chance to send Northend in at half-time 3-0.
Whitehead really came out of the blocks in the second half when they were first to every ball and it took the Northend defence of Campbell, Hayburn, Dobbin and Stock to be sharp to keep them at bay.
Northend finally got back into the game with Babuszewski and Adams taking control in midfield and finished the game of when Jamie Stevenson scored the goal of the game. Kuba Babuszewski won the ball deep in his own half, and played the ball into the path of Daniel Bell who ran down the right wing closely marked by a Whitehead player and crossed the ball right across the Whitehead goal for Jamie Stevenson to shake of his marker and volley into the top corner to put Northend 4-0 up.
The Ballymena Blues could have scored a few more goals but the Whitehead keeper pulled off some great saves in the dying minutes of the match.

Whitehead Eagles U11s 2 Northend United U11s 7 Saturday 26th February 2011
These two teams meet previously in the year with Whitehead winning one nil but on Saturday there was only one team going to win this game when Matthew Kirk put Northend 1-0 after six minutes then Jamie Stevenson added two more and Brandon Millar rounded the keeper just before half-time, to leave the half time score 4-0 to Northend.
Northend started off well knocking the ball around in midfield and down the wings with Brandon Millar terrorizing the Whitehead fullback with his attacking runs.
Northend were dominating the midfield with Kuba Babuszewski and Jordan Adams pulling the strings .Whitehead pulled a goal back before Jamie Stevenson completed his hat-trick then James Hayburn scored a fine individual goal when his shot flew into the top corner of the Whitehead goal from twenty-five yards, to leave the score 6-1 at this stage.
Whitehead again pulled a goal back then Northend scored just before the final whistle when Matthew Kirk played a great ball into the path of Brandon Millar who again rounded the keeper to tap into the net to put Northend 7-2 up. This was a great team performance from the U11s

Northend United U11s 1 Carrick Rangers U11s 3 Saturday 19th February 2011
Northend welcomed Carrick to Smithfield on Saturday and in the first five minutes Northend could not get out of their half as Carrick put them under pressure, but they rode the storm and caught Carrick a few times on the counter-attack. It was Carrick who went infront when Northend lost possession at the halfway line and a quick ball through the middle caught their defence out and allowed there big striker time to place the ball into the bottom corner.
Carrick went further infront when Northend again lost possession but this time it was at their eighteen yard line and the Carrick player placed the ball into the net giving Joss Mark in goal no chance.
Northend were getting more into the game and scored when Jordan Adams cracked a shot into the top corner just before half-time, leaving the score 2-1 to Carrick
This was real ding dong of a half with Northend looking to level and Carrick trying to extend their lead. It looked like Northend were about to score when Jamie Stevenson tried to chip the Carrick keeper with three Northend players advancing into the box, the keeper just got his fingers to the ball to make a great save.
Jordan Stock playing in the sweeper role was having a great tussle with the big striker for Carrick. With ten minutes left, a long ball was played through to their big striker and with both players committed to win the ball, the Carrick player fell over when Stock clearly won the ball. To everyone's amazement the referee awarded a penalty to Carrick which the player scored to end Northend's fight back. This was a great second half from the Northend team.

Larne Youth U11s 6 Northend United U11s 3 Saturday 12th February 2011
Northend started this match in great style with James O'Loughlin and Brandon Millar linking up to cause Larne lots of problems down the right wing. From one of these attacks, Northend went one up when Millar fed Daniel Bell the ball in the eighteen and he crossed the ball into the path of his striking partner Kuba Babuszewski who placed his shot well into the bottom of the Larne net.
Northend had a few chances before this goal but when well placed the players rushed their shots and missed the target. Northend's lead didn't last very long when their captain played a great ball that split the Northend defence and the Larne player stuck the ball in the far corner of the net to level the score.
Larne were starting to get on top and scored another goal identical to their first and they also got a third before half-time when the ball slipped from the keeper's hands from a corner, leaving the half time score 3-1 to Larne.
Northend lost their keeper at half-time to injury and had to change postions around and Larne scored three more goals before Matthew Kirk came on to score two late goals. His second goal was a volley into the top corner. This game was a good start and finish by the Northend U11s but they must learn to carry this through the whole game.
Man of the Match: Jamie Stevenson

Ballyclare Colts U11s 3 Northend United U11s 2 Saturday 5th February 2011
Northend were never in this game as Ballyclare out fought and out played them for most of this game but they still had enough chances to get something from this game when they decided to play football.
Ballyclare went infront when they won a corner which was crossed into the Northend six yard box quickly and the Ballyclare players were first to react when their big defender headed it into the net.
Northend response was quick when Graham McCartney ran onto a through ball to place the ball into the far corner of the net to level the game.
Ballyclare responded to this by going infront again when Northend kept giving the ball away cheaply and miss-timing their tackles. This lead to a Ballyclare player being allowed to get past two Northend players unchallenged, to hit a shot which Joss Mark could only parry into the net.
Northend had a great chance to level again when Jordon Adams snap shot just went wide when well placed. Ballyclare went further infront when the ball fell kindly for the Ballyclare player when it rebounded of a Northend player and he placed it into the far corner giving the keeper no chance.
The second half started with Northend looking for a quick goal but it didn't come to the last five minutes of the game. After the substitutes were introduced, it was from one of them that gave Northend a life line when James Hayburn crossed in a corner for Declan Dobbin to volley high into the net but it turned out to be too little too late as the referee blew for full time.
